San Francisco

Aaron, Ashby, and I just got back from San Francisco this morning. Aaron was busy attending conferences all week but Ashby and I were busy "playing." Ashby and I walked the streets of downtown San Francisco so much that I began recognizing the "local bums." This is a true statement.

Visit to the Exploratorium - We had a BLAST!

Our room was BIG but we did not have a kitchenette so Ashby had to make do with Burger King's croissant sandwhich every morning - YUCK! It was either a 18.95 continental breakfast or a sandwhich that contains egg, ham, cheese, and bread. Burger King Rocks - just joking.

Pier 39 - Enjoying the fresh air and cool breeze in her Minnesota jacket (thanks Popa and Mimi). Also, Ashby had her first Merry Go Round ride and she LOVED IT. When we signed "all done" she cried and cried and signed "more horse."





Another morning at Burger King - at this point we are now known as regulars so the staff brings Ashby over her own Burger King Hat!



Auntie Julie stopped over at the hotel after work to visit with us (did not take any photos of this event - we love you Julie) and we ended up going to Sephora. Ashby loves makeup so this was a bad idea. Ashby cried and threw a fit until I let her out of her stroller and that was another bad idea.



Union Square - I really wanted to sit and just enjoy my surroundings but Ms. Ashby had other plans and they included climbing up and down each step.

Each morning after walking around and eating in downtown San Francisco we visited the family lounge at Westfield Shopping Center. A family lounge in a family bathroom - not sure about this set up but Ashby enjoyed it.



A local street artist sings Ashby a special song and I am not sure if the video captures this but at the end she claps for him.



Of course, you can't go to San Francisco without going to Pier 39. Ashby saw sea lions and rode her first Merry Go Round. She loved it.





Ashby and I would go to Union Square to get exercise. Ashby would climb up and down the steps and run around the ramp and would do it all over again. I just wanted to sit and enjoy my coffee but Ashby kept me on the go instead. The videos are short because Ashby did not stop for a minute.
