During the last six weeks Mimi was here for 4 of them and we miss her terribly. Roe's big sister loves him TONS and he has two parents that think he is the coolest baby ever.
* Roe is still an awesome sleeper and very mellow baby.
* Ashby is "all about" her baby brother and we are still working on teaching big sister and baby brother boundaries. For example, when your brothers eyes are closed do not go over and poke him in the face. :)
* Roe will sleep 3 - 4 hours straight at night which means 3 feedings - 8ish - 12ish - 3ish. He spent the first 6 weeks in a bassinet in our room but has officially moved to his own room - big boy!!!!
* He self soothes himself to sleep - thank goodness.
* Loves pacifiers and his favorite are the "MAM" brand.
* Has gained probably 3 - 4 pounds in the last few weeks.
* Just yesterday he gave me the biggest smiles and coos/gurgles ever. (video below)
* I am crossing my fingers but whenever he is in motion - car, bouncy seat, bjorn he falls asleep. Ashby has probably fallen asleep 3x in the car since she was born. :)
* Roe and Ashby received an awesome gift from Roeann the other day and we want to say THANK YOU!!!
Ashby Update:
* Still waking up at 6:00 and sometimes loves to surprise me by waking up at 5:30 AM.
* She can't get enough of pasta and cheese, olives, proscuitto, pickles, and now her favorite cream cheese balls (Mimi introduced the cream cheese balls one day during a picnic around the house and she is hooked).
* Loves preschool and usually tells me to leave as soon as I get her inside "leave mommy - see you at 12:30"
* She is beginning to like Sesame Street and Curious George is no longer her favorite.
* Her favorite games are playing princess, dancing like a ballerina, or anything that deals with pretending and her imagination. (videos below)
* Ashby officially puts her head in the water at swimming class but is struggling with jumping off the side to her teacher, Emily. YOU CAN DO IT ASHBY!!
* As for dancing class, she enjoys every minute of it. However, she is more interested in talking to the girl next to her and checking out her outfit and accessories. Ashby LOVES flair or anything that glitters like diamonds. :)
