More Santa Claus, food, and even a Birthday

We left for Duluth the day after New Years and spent several glorious snow filled days with my family. As soon as we landed and Ashby saw the snow her eyes remained wide and alert and I do not think they relaxed until we pulled into my parents driveway and at that time she started screaming snowman. Mimi elaborately placed deer and snowmen outside and inside the house to entertain Ashby.

We celebrated Christmas on Wednesday and celebrated Ashby's two year birthday on Friday. Also, in between all the celebrating Aaron and I got our teeth cleaned at Mimi's office. In addition, to that we had Ashby's two year photos taken at JcPenney and my lovely daughter was not cooperative at all. Mimi bought her a beautiful dress to wear and Ashby refused to stand up for any of the shots. My daughter definitely has a mind of her own. :)

Videos coming later!

Ashby says "outside please" so we fulfill her request. We made it outside for a minute or two. :)

Poppa and Ashby on their way outside to see and feel snow for the very first time.

Hanging out at Mimi's office while daddy and mommy have their teeth cleaned. Ashby enjoyed the attention and treats.

Ashby's First Stocking Stuffer in her very own Mickey Mouse Stocking

Ever since I can remember one of our family traditions is that one person at a time opens a gift. It takes a long time but we enjoy watching each other and commenting on everything. (Family Inside Joke) :) Everyone has to pass out presents and this was Ashby's turn.

Ashby was a little confused at first because she wanted to open her gifts and Poppa's

Mimi's Twin

I made my dad and brother a scarf but as you can see it is a little big. I tried.

Yummy Ice Cream Cake - Ashby's Favorite treat is ice cream

Not the best photo but the only one of Ashby looking at her cake.

Enjoying the ice cream while daddy cuts the cake. Ashby got very focused and quiet while eating her cake. She had such a big piece that she did not ask for "more please."

This is the best and only photo of us all three together during the week. A happy family.

On January 6 after flying all night Ashby woke up to a Radio Flyer bike from Poppa and Mimi. Also, she got a cool digital camera that she will appreciate more as she gets older. Thank you J.J. and Auntie Magda for your gifts - we appreciate it and Ashby is enjoying them fully.
