Ashby was named after her Great Grandfather, Cliff Ashby. We would visit Cliff and Louise each year and my highlight of the trip was going to the 7-Eleven for candy. However, my grandpa would give my brother and I spare change, bites of sugar cane, and he would share stories about the war. I wonder what he thinks of me naming Ashby after him.
